What is a mining truck ? And How does a Underground truck work?

Introduce underground mining truck :

An underground mine loader is a vehicle specially used for transporting materials such as ore and waste rock underground in mines. They usually run on narrow-gauge railways and need to be towed by a locomotive or winch. There are many types of mine cars, including freight cars, man-carriage cars, material cars, etc. According to the different structures and unloading methods, they can be divided into five categories: fixed mine cars (such as material cars, flatbed cars), dump-type mine cars, single-side curved track side-unloading mine cars, bottom (side) unloading mine cars and shuttle mine cars. The design of these mine cars takes into account the narrow conditions of underground tunnels and has the characteristics of compact dimensions to adapt to the special environment of mines. Underground mine cars, especially self-unloading mine cars, have a specific structure, including a front frame, a rear frame and an articulated carriage. One end of the carriage is hinged to the rear frame, which is provided with a support slot, and at least two electric jacks are provided in the longitudinal direction of the support slot, at least one of which is provided at the hinge between the rear frame and the carriage and hinged to the bottom of the carriage. This design enables the mine truck to flexibly transport materials in the underground environment of the mine.

The working modes of underground ore transport vehicles mainly include rail transportation and locomotive transportation.

How does a Underground truck work?

Rail transportation is the main mode of transportation in underground mining, and it also plays an important role in the transportation of open-pit mines. This mode of transportation mainly relies on equipment including rails, mine cars, traction equipment and auxiliary mechanical equipment. Mine cars are divided into freight mine cars, man-carrying cars and special mine cars (such as explosive cars and water cars) according to their uses. The transport mine cars mainly include fixed car box type, dump bucket type, side unloading type, flatbed car and bottom unloading type. The traction equipment in the inclined tunnel mainly uses a winch to pull the vehicle through a wire rope, while the locomotive is mainly used in the flat tunnel and the slope with a very small slope. Auxiliary mechanical equipment includes dumpers, pushers, crawlers, and car blockers. Locomotive transportation is to use a locomotive to pull a train of mine cars on the track. This method is suitable for long-distance transportation in horizontal tunnels and is also widely used in open-pit mines. Mining locomotives are divided into two types, electric locomotives and diesel locomotives, according to the different power used. The vast majority of mines use electric locomotives. The key to the safe operation of an electric locomotive lies in its braking performance. The braking device must have sufficient braking force to ensure that the braking distance of the train during operation complies with safety regulations. The safe operation of the electric locomotive driver is also the key to the safe operation of the electric locomotive. The driver must pass training and examinations and must not leave his post without permission.
